Palácio da Lousã is located in the heart of the town’s historic centre, surrounded by the wooded hills of the Serra da Lousã. The hotel occupies an 18th-century building that was once the home of the Viscountess of Espinhal and has been carefully converted into a boutique hotel, combining its original character with modern comforts.

The hotel has 46 rooms and suites divided between the historic palace and a newer wing. Rooms in the palace retain a more classical style, while those in the newer wing have simpler, more contemporary décor. The hotel also has a restaurant serving dishes inspired by the flavours and produce of the region.

The surrounding Serra da Lousã is known for its oak, chestnut and pine forests, traditional schist villages and walking and cycling trails. The hotel can arrange a selection of local activities and experiences, making it a good base for exploring the region’s natural scenery and cultural heritage. Coimbra is approximately 30 minutes away by car, while Figueira da Foz can be reached in around an hour.
