Pestana Carlton Madeira is a five-star hotel set on a clifftop overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It is around a 10-minute walk from Funchal’s city centre and provides a convenient base for exploring the marina, gardens and surrounding attractions.

The hotel offers a range of rooms and suites, all with private balconies overlooking the sea, Funchal Bay, swimming pools, gardens or mountains.

Facilities include two large outdoor saltwater swimming pools, a children’s pool and a heated indoor pool. The hotel also has direct access to the sea and an on-site diving centre offering introductory dives and boat trips. Its wellness facilities include a massage room, sauna, Turkish bath and gym, with massages and beauty treatments available for an additional charge.

The hotel has four restaurants and two bars. Arcos is the main buffet restaurant, while Taverna Grill offers à la carte dining. The Garden Pool Restaurant & Bar serves light meals and refreshments beside the pool, and The Pub provides a more informal setting. The Atlântico Pool Bar and Taverna Bar complete the hotel’s dining and drinks options.

Other leisure facilities include mini-golf, a games room and live music on selected evenings. Water sports, fishing and excursions around Madeira can also be arranged.

Junior Suite - Sea, Garden or Pool View

Rooms with a king size bed and a separate seating area with a sofa and armchair. These fantastic suites are located between the 1st and 4th floor and offer garden, swimming pool or sea views. Some feature a balcony with a table and chairs. Maximum capacity: 4 adults. Area: 62m²

Junior Suite Superior - Sea, Garden or Pool View

Suite - Sea View

Suite with a living room featuring a sofa bed and a separate bedroom with carpeted floors and a king size bed.
