Day 2:
A day to explore Funchal at your leisure. Stroll through the historic centre, visit the Lavradores market with its exotic fruit and fresh produce, and walk through the cobbled streets of Zona Velha with its colourfully painted doors and enticing restaurants. After lunch hop on one of the cable cars from Funchal up to Monte for a walk around its tropical garden and take in the magnificent views over the bay of Funchal. We suggest you make your way back down to Funchal in one of the iconic ''basket cars'‘, an exhilarating journey downhill on a wicker sledge powered by two men and their trusty rubber soled shoes! Once you reach the end of the run you can either take a taxi back to the city centre or walk which will take you about 30 minutes.
Day 3:
You will be picked up from your hotel for a full day of sightseeing of the Island's western side. Tour highlights include Camara de Lobos, Cabo Girão, the mountain pass of Encumeada and lunch in Porto Moniz. After visiting Seixal and a stop in São Vicente you will be taken back to your hotel.
Day 4:
Another day to explore the city of Funchal. Here you will find various shaded green areas to savour the views or you could take your swimming gear and visit one of the bathing complexes along the promenade.
Day 5:
Today you will be picked up from your hotel to explore the Eastern part of the Island. Tour highlights include Pico do Areeiro, Ribeiro Frio and Santana where you will stop for lunch.
