This policy explains how Latitude 40 Enterprises Limited, trading as Portugal Holidays, uses cookies and similar technologies on www.portugalholidays.co.uk, what they do, and how you can accept, reject or change your choices.
1. Who we are
1.1 Latitude 40 Enterprises Limited is registered in England and Wales under company number 01209645. Our registered office is 21A Pembridge Road, London W11 3HG; it is not open to the public.

2. What cookies are
2.1 Cookies are small text files placed on, or read from, your browser or device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, tags and scripts. They can remember settings, operate website features and help measure website use.
2.2 Some cookies last only for the browser session. Others remain until their stated expiry, until you delete them, or until they are replaced. Cookies may be set by us (first-party cookies) or by another organisation whose service appears on our website (third-party cookies).
3. Our cookie categories

3.1 We do not currently use Meta Pixel, advertising cookies or a separate targeting/advertising category. If that changes, we will update this policy and obtain any consent required before those technologies are used.
4. How consent works
4.1 CookieYes operates our consent banner and preference centre. On your first visit, non-essential technologies are off by default. You may choose “Accept all”, “Reject all” or “Manage preferences”. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not prevent you from using the main website.
4.2 The preference centre allows you to control Analytics and Functionality separately. Essential cookies cannot be disabled through the preference centre. We ask you to renew your choice after six months, and may ask sooner if our use of cookies changes materially.
4.3 A “Cookie settings” link remains available in the website footer so that you can change or withdraw your choice at any time. A new choice applies to future use. You may also need to delete cookies already stored on your device using your browser settings.

5.1 Actual lifetimes can be shorter because of browser restrictions, user settings or provider changes. We run CookieYes scans periodically and after material website changes, and update the preference centre and this policy where necessary.
6. Google Analytics
6.1 If you accept Analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about use of the website, such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from an IP address, device and browser information, and interaction data. We use aggregated reports to understand how visitors find and use the website and to improve its content and performance.
6.2 Google Analytics must not load or store information on your device before Analytics consent. Google may process information under its own terms and privacy notice. You can withdraw consent through “Cookie settings”.
7. Google Maps
7.1 The website may display an interactive Google Map. Before you accept Functionality cookies, the map will be blocked and replaced with a placeholder containing an option to accept the relevant category. The map should load only after you choose to accept Functionality cookies.
7.2 Once the map loads, Google may receive technical information including your IP address, device or browser information and the page you are viewing, and may use cookies or similar storage. Google acts under its own terms and privacy information for that processing.
8. Changing browser settings
8.1 Most browsers let you inspect, block and delete cookies. Browser controls are additional to our CookieYes controls. Blocking all cookies, including essential cookies, may cause forms or other core website functions not to work properly.
9. External websites and future content
9.1 Links to third-party websites do not place their cookies merely because a link appears on our website. If you follow a link, the third party’s own cookie and privacy information applies.
9.2 We do not currently embed video content. If videos or another optional third-party service are added, we will assess whether consent is needed, block the service until the relevant consent where required, and update the CookieYes scan and this policy.
10. Changes to this policy
10.1 We may update this policy when our website, service providers or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on our website with its effective date. Where appropriate, we will ask for consent again.
