Torre de Palma Wine Hotel is a five-star boutique hotel located near Monforte, in the heart of the Alentejo wine region. The hotel was created from the remains of a country estate dating from 1338, carefully restored and extended to provide modern comforts while retaining its connection to the region’s history and rural traditions.
The property consists of traditional whitewashed buildings arranged around an old tower, surrounded by vineyards, olive trees, an orchard and open countryside. Its 19 rooms and suites combine contemporary design with vintage furniture, local craftsmanship and natural materials, creating a comfortable and informal atmosphere.
Wine is central to the experience at Torre de Palma. The estate has its own working winery, vineyard, barrel room and tasting room, with guided visits, tastings and other wine-related activities available. Guests can also go horse riding on Lusitano horses, walk or cycle through the surrounding countryside, or visit the nearby Roman ruins of Torre de Palma.
Facilities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a spa offering massages, vinotherapy and other treatments, together with a Turkish bath and hydromassage pool. The hotel’s restaurant serves contemporary Alentejo cuisine prepared with produce from its own garden and ingredients sourced from local producers.

Torre De Palma Wine Course
Take the weekend to learn more about wines. On this course you will spend two mornings with the Enology team and learn about wine production, how to taste and how to harmonize wine and food.
On the Torre de Palma wine course you will learn about the different grape varieties that make up their vineyard and the production process, from plant to glass. The course includes a visit to the vineyards and the winery, tastings of different wines and grape varieties, activities such as blind tasting, and ends with the Wine at the Table experience.

Wine Blending Workshop - Make your own wine
Wine Blending is an experience in which participants are challenged to create a blend of their own wine from different deposits and barrels from the Torre de Palma winery. Participants will also have the opportunity to create their own personalised label and take a completely unique blend home with them. This activity also includes a visit to the Torre de Palma winery with an explanation and analysis of wines and different grape varieties to create the best blend.
Tasting of exclusive wines.
In this tasting, you will discover the most exclusive wines of the Winery: Reserva da Família White Wine 2018, Musas Tinto 2020, Alicante Bouschet & Tinta Miúda 2019, and learn the unique stories behind these wines.
The tasting is paired with regional products.
